Its to cold for words

All I do is shiver

I try to speak

But my lips just quiver.

Another cold day

In Alaska divine

Some heat would be nice

Oh beautiful sunshine.

For now I'll wrap up

In my polar fleece blanky
Got one?

Get one.....

I felt your little hands
Your feet and hiccups too,
Every day you grow some more
Can’t wait to meet my little you.

Night after night
And day after day
My anticipation grows,

Ahhhh there you are
For heavens sake
Oh LOOK at those little toes!

The tenderness of your little face
The softness of your brow,

The curled up grin
The wrinkled chin

My response is simply Wow!

Welcome to a whole new place
Of wonder, joy, and grace,
Safely in my arms you’ll stay
Where it’s warm and dry and safe.

Someday when your ready
To see the great big world,
I hope you have a balance within
To keep yourself all furled.

We'll get through life together
No matter what the storm
I love you like no one can
I am your true wise mother!

Glittery Pink From Heaven

~Glittery Pink From Heaven~

Catch a little snowflake
As it falls out in the air,

Look real fast
Cause it won’t last

Each one is truly rare.

I caught one of these gems today
It’s color was the most outstanding,

I thought ALL were white,
Glittery and bright….

But guess what I saw upon it’s landing?

Pink!

Oh yes… it is true
Imagine if you dare.

I wouldn’t have believed it
if I didn’t see it
Falling from the air.

I watched it glitter
I watched it move
Right before my eyes,

I captured in my own minds eye,
Its color shape and size.

No one will ever believe me
This gem I saw today,

So I captured it in art just now,
Grandma taught me to crochet.

This glittery snowflake from heaven
Intricate lacy and pink,

Is the rarest of the rare snowflakes…..

So NOW....

Friends are the greatest thing
I could ever have,
They’re always there for me
Weather happy or sad.

My friends are always there
No matter what the weather,
Through good times and bad…..
It doesn’t seem to matter.

They laugh they cry they smile and hug
They never miss a beat,
Of all the people in the world
MY
friends just can’t be beat!

I’m forever in their debt
They are the perfect drug,
Angels in disguise
I feel so safe and snug.

I love my friends with all my heart
If ever YOU should need,
Please look to me to share your plea,
This is my friendship creed.

Love one another
As I have loved you,
IS
What our Savior said.

Love always comes back
When it is given,
At least that’s what I read.

Thanks to all my friends for being there for me,

There's No Place Like Home

~There’s No Place Like Home~

Written for my Mom Judy

Cherry blossoms, apple blossoms peach and pear,
Silcott perfumery wafts through the air.

Horses and cows chickens and pigs
Alfalfa in the field,
And some old time rigs.

Momma in her pretty skirt baking cherry pie

Listen’ to that ol' time gospel,
And fixin' her chicken fry.

Herbie’s layin' lazy
Daddy’s reading his book,

Sister’s out in the barn
In her favorite nook.

Call ya for your supper
Now don’t be late,
Momma says it’s the best
It’s gonna be great!

Put your book aside
Sister let the animals roam,
Come on together for supper

There’s just no place like home!!!
